  1. Can I get my money back?

Contributors contribute to Project Owners, not to CAPITAL SURGE. However, CAPITAL SURGE is able to refund your contribution before any of the following occur:

    1. The Project contributions were disbursed to the Project Owner;
    2. The Project ends; or
    3. The perk(s) is “Locked”, which means the campaign owner has indicated the perk(s) is ready for shipment, or “Shipped” by the campaign owner.

In the event that the Project has ended and CAPITAL SURGE has disbursed funds to the Project Owner, refund requests must be directed to the Project Owner and handled in accordance with their separate refund/return policy. CAPITAL SURGE is not responsible for refunds outside of our Refund Policy and you should work directly with the Project Owner to resolve the refund request and the method of refund.

For donation campaigns, Contributors may request a refund from CAPITAL SURGE up to ten (10) days after the Project  contribution was made unless the perk(s) has been “Locked” or “Shipped” by the Project Owner.  Any refund or return requests made after the 10th day must be directed to the Project Owner and will be subject to the campaign's separate refund/return policy (if any).

CAPITAL SURGE reserves the right to terminate user accounts and remove Project  for any abuse of this Refund Policy. In the event that CAPITAL SURGE has found a campaign violates the Terms of Use and CAPITAL SURGE still has the Project’s funds, CAPITAL SURGE may at any time take action it deems appropriate, in its sole discretion, including but not limited to, issuing refunds to Contributors from the Project’s funds.

  1. How to request a refund when I'm eligible?

You can request a refund directly from your CAPITAL SURGE account. To request a refund, please follow the following steps:

    1. Log into your CAPITAL SURGE account dashboard
    2. Go to your activities where all the Projects you backed are listed and click on “View contribution details”
    3. If the contribution is eligible for a refund per our refund policy, you will see a "Request refund" button. Click that button to initiate the refund process
    4. Confirm that you would like a refund. After confirming, you will receive a status message letting you know whether or not the refund was successful
    5. Note: Once you've issued the refund, it can typically take up to 10 business days until the refund is reflected on your account statement, depending on the policy of your bank or financial institution

Refunds will be issued based on the payment method used for the contribution, and may take up to ten (10) business days to appear on your statement.

Please note that if you backed a Project that did not meet its minimum target, you will automatically receive a refund within ten (10) business days. You do not need to request a refund.

  1. I would like a refund but I’m not eligible

If you are not eligible for a refund from CAPITAL SURGE under our Refund Policy, you should contact the Project Owner to inquire whether they are able to provide you a refund. CAPITAL SURGE is not responsible for refunds outside of our Refund Policy and you should work directly with the Project Owner to resolve the refund request and method of refund.

  1. What happens if I canceled the credit card I used to make my original contribution?

Your refund will still be sent back to the issuer of your original credit card and the bank will determine the best method of remitting the balance to you. The issuing bank will determine how to get the funds to you, so please contact them directly.

  1. I haven't seen the refund credited to my credit card, what should I do?

If you requested a refund through your CAPITAL SURGE account, and have not yet seen the refund as a credit on your credit card statement within ten (10) business days, please contact us at admin@capital-surge.com.

If you contributed to a Project that did not meet its minimum target and you did not receive your refund within ten (10) business days, please contact CAPITAL SURGE support at https://www.capital-surge.net/contact-us. There are many reasons that the refund may not have been credited to your account and we will work with you to ensure that you receive a refund.

  1. Capital Surge perks guidelines

    2. Immediately notify Contributors if there are obstacles or delays in delivering Perks.
    3. Respond promptly and truthfully to all questions posed by Contributors and any questions or requests CAPITAL SURGE makes regarding Perks.
    4. Provide substantive and quality updates at least once a month to Contributors and associated perks.
